DISMISSED

United States v. JIAA.

On April 8, 2022, the client was arrested at a border inspection checkpoint for allegedly possessing 5 buckets that tested positive for 77% methamphetamine.  The client maintained his innocence, and he requested a probable cause hearing.  At the probable cause hearing, the DEA agent testified that the client, the passenger in the vehicle, had an inconsistent story from the driver, co-defendant.  However, during cross examination, there was no evidence presented that the client was actually aware that the substance inside the buckets was methamphetamine.  On April 29, 2022, the Government moved to dismiss the case without prejudice.
